Fuso Truck and Bus Australia has confirmed it has a secured a steady supply of Canter light trucks.
While supply issues continue to affect the industry, the Japanese truck-maker now has consistent supply of its most popular model. This includes the full Canter range, including Built Ready factory tippers, wide cab and city cab models.
Fuso also has good supply of the Canter 515, the best-selling single model truck in Australia.
The Canter has become a household name with more than 70,000 sold since it first arrived in Australia showrooms back in 1971.
Fuso Truck and Bus Australia Director, Alex Müller, says Fuso is pleased to have secured reliable production flow for Canter.
“We are very excited to be able to offer our customers consistent and solid supply of our Canter, giving them peace of mind that we now can provide the trucks they need to get the job done,” he says.
“A lot of work has gone in to clearing the hurdles required to release a steady supply of our most popular truck,” Mr Müller concludes.
Fuso also has a decent supply of its medium duty Fighter and heavy-duty Shogun models.
All Canters come with a generous manufacturer warranty that covers the vehicle for five years or 200,00km, whichever comes first.
The Canter features class-leading 30,000km service intervals, helping customers make the most of their trucks, and has the best-in-class payload for maximum productivity.
All Canter 4x2 models can be driven on a car licence, when specified by the customer.
A full suite of safety technology including Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and hill-hold brake feature come standard on all 4x2 Canter models.
The Fuso AEBS system uses superior radar technology to enable automatic emergency braking in the event of a potential collision and can even begin braking for pedestrians.
